Please understand that it is your responsibility to get a job for the summer. Many of the employers listed below are excited about the idea of hiring you. If you see a job listed that you are interested in, please go ahead and apply! How To Make Your Job Official

  • When communicating with employers, make sure they understand what would be required of you in order to participate in Kaleo. Refer to the document on the website titled “Job Card Commitments 2026” which you can either send directly to employers or use as a resource as you are filling out applications. (refer to job policies below as well)

  • Once you have received a job offer, it is NOT official until your job card has been signed by the Jobs Director and the employer! If you receive a job offer before Kaleo begins, then you will need to fill out the Kaleo Job Reporting Form (will be posted on the website).

  • After you have filled out the online Job Reporting Form, send the PDF of the 2026 Job Commitment Card to your employer and ask them sign and return it so you can email it to me (blake.gerber@stumo.org), or you can fill out a physical card when we get to Orlando if you would prefer.

Job Policies

  • No conflicts with project activities. 

  • There is a minimum hour requirement of 28 hours

  • Students must work Tuesday-Friday, this is mandatory

  • Absolutely no work on Saturday-Monday (If you are needing to work more hours this summer for financial reasons, please reach out to me personally and I can help!)

  • You are available to work between the dates of May 27 - July 17

  • The Jobs Director must approve all jobs before a student may accept employment. Once the student has talked verbally with an employer, he/she must notify the Jobs Director.  

  • No job can be terminated by a student without approval from the Jobs Director. 

  • No jobs can be accepted where a student is primarily serving alcohol or placed in any compromising situation 

  • Until a student finds employment, his/her full-time job is to look for one.  

  • Students cannot stay home from work unless the reason is health-related. Students must obtain the Project Director’s approval to miss work.  

  • Getting fired (for a good reason) is grounds for dismissal from the project.
